Background
Martin Brogaard Nielsen has over 20 years of experience in IT and GRC (governance, risk, and compliance), assurance reporting, and IT consulting. He established and leads the IT Risk Assurance department at Grant Thornton Denmark.
He has experience with audits in small and medium-sized companies, public authorities, and large corporations, focusing on ISO 27001/2, GDPR, NIS2, NSIS, DORA, and other compliance standards and regulations. Martin has guided many organizations as a trusted advisor, helping them strengthen their IT governance as either an advisor or auditor. His clients include Falck Denmark, CGI, the Visma group, Paychex, CapGemini, Solita, Sentia, and many more.
Martin is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), and Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE). He has written a book on IT management and auditing, is a member of the Cybersecurity Committee at FSR – Danish Auditors, and has participated in several working groups under the state. Additionally, Martin is a frequently used lecturer in IT security management and IT auditing.
